Enjoy comfort food on the Klamath River

The food at the Requa is like the Inn itself: substantial and without a lot of frills. We focus on fresh ingredients -- organic and regional when possible - with simple, straightfoward preparation.

Breakfast on the Klamath River

You'll love the variety of our cooked to order breakfast.

Breakfast is always included with your room at the Historic Requa Inn. Our self-serve coffee and tea service are ready around 7 a.m. each morning for early risers (almost everyone becomes an early riser during their stay at the Requa - mornings are too beautiful to sleep through).

From 8.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m., we serve a hearty hot breakfast that includes lots of choices: organic eggs from pastured poultry (raised on a farm nearby) cooked any style; bacon or sausage (when available); fluffy buttermilk hotcakes; homemade whole-wheat toast; homemade creamy whole-milk yogurt; homemade California granola; scottish oatmeal; seasonal fresh fruit; and a variety of juices. You'll be well prepared for hiking, kayaking, fishing, beachcombing, or any outdoor activity you choose in the redwoods!

Unlike many B&Bs, we serve breakfast for a full hour. You can decide if you want to have breakfast right at 8.00 a.m. so you can get going, or if you want to sleep a little later and come downstairs closer to 9.00 a.m. - or any time in between.

We try our hardest to make sure that every dietary need is taken care of. Let us know in advance of staying if you have any special needs so we can make your stay as enjoyable (and hassle free) as possible.

We love sharing our home, and place with you and our culture of hospitality is ever present in the dining room. Meals are an important time for us as a family where we share our experiences and enjoy each other's company and we want you to feel the same way. During the high season (May through September) We offer dining between 6.00 to 7.30 pm Tuesday through Sunday - we do not offer dining on Monday evenings and ask that you make other arrangements. During the off-season, we offer limited dining, typically serving a single seating, family style at 6:30 pm. We strongly encourage you to call ahead during the off-season to ask about dinner arrangements

Whether it's locally sourced grass fed smoked beef short ribs or freshly grilled spring salmon, we're sure that your stay at the Requa Inn will be just as decadent for your taste buds as for you! Dinners feature locally sourced, fresh organic ingredients - we have a great relationship with our local organic farmers and we make sure to hand pick the freshest and tastiest produce for our kitchen.

Our menu typical consists of 2-3 choices for starters;2-3 choices for Mains (including a vegetarian option); and 1-2 choices for dessert - including our delicious home made cheescake. Let us know at least 24 hours ahead whether you will be eating with us.

If you are not dining with us, dinner options in this small, remote town of Klamath are very limited in the off season, with a few more options available in the summer. Crescent City is 25 minutes away and has a few additional dining options. We can provide dinner recommendations based on your food preferences. If you aren't joining us, you may want to consider packing a picnic or bringing something along. We have a fridge and microwave for guest use in the main dining room.

Beverages & Snacks

We have a beverage bar in our dining room that is available to you 24 hours a day with coffee, hot water for tea and cocoa, and ice water. We also sell wine, beer, soft drinks, and juice. When you check in or come back from a day hiking in the redwoods, you'll find some baked goodies - our Pumpkin Bread is a crowd favorite as are our chocolate chip cookies - to enjoy before dinner.
