The Post Office!
Introducing a new room available at the Historic Requa Inn- the Post Office! Formerly this space served as the town of Requa’s post office, until the zipcode 95561 was discontinued in 1970. Since then it has served as an apartment for many an Innkeeper (including Jan and Marty during our first years owning the Inn). We have converted the Post Office into a lovely guest room, featuring a bedroom, small sitting room with a pull-out couch, and a bathroom with a walk in shower and tile floors. The Post Office has a private, outdoor entrance, river views, bamboo floors, and this is the ONLY room in the Inn with a TV. (Flatscreen, HD TV with Direct TV.) The room’s only draw back is that is directly under the far east part of the dining room (the less popular area). When the dining room is very busy, there can be a fair amount of noise heard from upstairs. This shouldn’t be a problem before 8am or after 9:30pm, and is another good reason to eat dinner with us in the dining room! This is a fantastic option for folks who’d like to avoid stairs- as it will be our only room currently not located on the second floor (we’ve got big plans to remedy this in the near future, though- stay tuned).
