FAM About the innkeepers Jan Wortman and her family bought the Historic Requa Inn in winter of 2010. But this has been a long time coming for the her and her family. Requa is the place of a traditional Yurok village and it’s this village site where Jan’s family is from. Since time immemorial, Jan’s family and ancestors have live here at Requa (pronounced “Rek-Woi” in Yurok). This is the most special place in the world for her. Jan’s family; Marty her husband, Thomas her son, and Geneva her daughter (along with Geneva’s husband Reweti Wiki and their three kids, Maia, Keeya, and Ani) help run the inn.
